Nicholas Warden - Managing Director

Nicholas attended Durham University and at The Royal Academy of Music where he studied with Mark Wildman. He pursued a career as an opera singer, performing in concert Halls and Opera Houses across Europe. He has worked with many distinguished conductors including Sir Simon Rattle, Valery Gergiev, Sir Colin Davis and Emmanuele Haim.

He has a wealth of experience in education, he has taught at Oxford University, King’s College University of London, The Royal Academy of Music, St Paul’s Boys, Brighton College and Tonbridge School. He is also a former Housemaster at Oundle School.

As Managing Director at Gibden he has worked with schools across the world to deliver advice to develop their music programme, he has worked with pupils to assist with school placement and scholarship preparation all with a view to enabling the pupils to maximise their potential and gain access to the best possible education.

Nicholas is also coordinating future planning for a range of specialist music courses hosted in the UK and in South-East Asia.

Angus Gibbon - Chief Consultant

Angus has build a wealth of knowledge in the world of international education. He has worked with students across the globe and has forged a huge array of contacts and long lasting partnerships with many schools and universities.

As a specialist consultant for Gibden he has worked on behalf of pupils and institutions to advise on music and recruitment. He brings a wealth of excellence to his work and offers valuable insights.

Angus studied violin with Lydia Mordkovich at the Royal Northern College of Music and Emmanuel Hurwitz (English Chamber Orchestra) and Mikhail Kopelman (Borodin Quartet) as postgraduate. He performed with many leading London Orchestras, including the Philharmonia and English Chamber Orchestra.

Angus is the Head of Strings at Oundle School and previously held the same role at St Paul’s Girl’s School. He lectured in Music Performance at Royal Holloway, University of London. He is a former specialist violin Diploma examiner for ABRSM and is now the External Specialist Violin Examiner at the Royal College of Music, London.
